"Bingay" at Connections Night-Club in Perth, Australia
Connections, also known as "Connies", is one of the two main gay venues in Perth (Australia), where I live. The other is the Court Hotel. I first went to Connections when I was 18 years old and still in the closet, not yet able to accept being gay. Connections has a lively atmosphere with a mixed crowd of men and women, gay and straight and everyone in-between! On Thursday nights Connections hosts "Bingay". This is gay Bingo. It is great fun for all but one does not need to be gay to play. However, it is necessary to book a table for oneself and friends beforehand because it is a free and popular event. Afterwards one can stay on to chat, dance and buy drinks or snacks at the bar. One of the regulars at Connections is Jayne, who is posing in the photo with Frank in the courtyard on the rooftop.
